MEYDAN issues two types of UAE residency visa attached to its licenses: investor visa (for shareholders) and employee visa (for hires). Both are 2-year validity, both require in-country medical + biometrics + Emirates ID application, and both attach to the MEYDAN license quota.

Employee Visa — Additional Cost
Same core process as investor visa, plus:
- Labor card issuance: AED 300 ($82)
- Mandatory MOHRE-approved health insurance: AED 1,200-2,900/year ($325-790) depending on age
- Total employee visa all-in: AED 5,900-7,600 ($1,605-2,070)
Visa Slot Quota
Each visa slot on your license is priced at AED 1,780 (~$485) as a one-time slot fee — this is separate from the visa issuance cost above. It buys the right to issue a visa within that slot. If you never use it, you still pay it as part of package renewal.
MEYDAN visa quotas by office tier:
- Virtual office (Flexi Desk): up to 3 visas
- Shared dedicated desk (Flexi Desk Plus): up to 6 visas
- Physical office: 1 visa per 9sqm (typical 12sqm office = 6 visas)
Renewal
All UAE visas are 2-year validity. Renewal cost is approximately 60-70% of initial issuance (~AED 3,300 / $900 for investor renewal). Renewal must be initiated at least 30 days before expiry; late renewal triggers AED 25/day overstay penalty.
Dependents & Family
Once your investor visa is stamped and you have received your Emirates ID, you can sponsor dependents (spouse, children, parents under conditions). Dependent visa cost: ~AED 3,500-4,500 per person all-in, plus a minimum monthly income requirement (AED 4,000 for spouse, AED 20,000 for parents).
